Certifications have become an important tool for assessing skills and ensuring ICT workers are prepared for today's jobs. MT & E has partnered with the Electronic Technicians Association (ETA), CompTIA, and the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) to offer nationally recognized certifications*. We also offer Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix and Novell certified training through our partner company.

MT & E is a world leader in ETA certified fiber training. We have also worked with ETA to develop the industries only vendor neutral voice-over-IP technician certification ( ETA - B/VoIP).

   


CompTIA - Earning CompTIA A+ certification proves that a candidate has a broad base of knowledge and competency in core hardware and operating system technologies including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking.

  • A+
    The perfect certification for beginning your IT career, the A+ certification is a vendor-neutral certification for entry-level computer technicians. It has no prerequisites, but is widely used as a starting point for various system administration and network administration certifications.
  • Security+
    Keeping networks and data secure is the biggest challenge facing the tech community today. The CompTIA Security+ certification tests the security knowledge of someone who has two years of on-the-job networking experience with emphasis on security.
  • Network+
    Network+ is an entry-level, vendor-neutral certification for IT professionals with at least nine-months of experience in network support or administration. With this certification you'll be able to demonstrate your technical abilities in network administration and support.
  • Linux+
    The CompTIA Linux+ certification is for technicians with six-months experience installing, operating and maintaining Linux operating systems. The Linux+ certification validates your technical competency as well as a broad awareness of Linux operating systems.
  • Project+
    CompTIA's Project+ (2003) certification is meant for those IT professionals who are on their way to becoming skilled project managers. This certification will prove your familiarity of project management tools, such as schedulers, spreadsheets, and databases.

    The CCNA is designed for IT professionals who can install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for small networks (100 nodes or fewer), including but not limited to use of these protocols: IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, and Access Lists.
  • CCNP
    Cisco's CCNP is an intermediate-level certification for IT professionals who can install, configure, and troubleshoot local and wide area networks for enterprise organizations with networks from 100 to more than 500 nodes.

    The PMP certification examination measures the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques that are utilized in the practice of project management.

    TIA - CTP CERTIFICATION PROGRAM - A new set of skills is required to sell, install and support convergence technologies. IT Professionals who sell, install, support, and service the new communications server applications need new skills to stay competitive. TIA's Convergence Technologies Professional (CTP) certification was created to validate the industry-required skills necessary to fill in-demand convergence job roles. The CTP certification exam validates core knowledge of convergence industry standards and protocols, infrastructure, signaling, basic telephony, Voice over IP (VoIP), topology convergence, and the skills required to perform jobs related to these technologies. The CTP credential is attained by passing a high-stakes, computer-based proctored exam consisting of 65 questions.

    The CTP certification assists those who want to remain current or advance their career in the voice, data or convergence industries, including channel partner sales professionals, technical representatives, advanced technical engineers, and application sales engineers.
